À 31 ans, la Tunisienne Lina Ben Mhenni est l’un des visages emblématiques du Printemps arabe. Dès 2007, la jeune femme a su saisir l’espace de liberté que représente le Web dans les pays où la censure est de mise. Fin 2010, quand la révolution tunisienne éclate, elle passe en quelques clics du statut de professeure d’anglais engagée à celui de défenseure des droits de l’homme. Dans le monde entier, on se connecte sur son blog, A Tunisian Girl, sur lequel elle rapporte ce qui se déroule dans son pays. Cible du régime, elle se fait voler son ordinateur et les menaces de mort fusent pour la dissuader de s’exprimer. Mais elle ne lâche rien et aujourd’hui encore, trois ans et demi après cet évènement historique, Lina Ben Mhenni continue de se battre sur la toile avec pour seules armes ordi, smartphone, caméra et réseaux sociaux. Un engagement sur tous les fronts qui ne la dispense pas pour autant de poster des vidéos de son chat sur YouTube!
