Girl Beach Clean UP #Keepyoureyeonoursea

Today, I had the honor and pleasure to take part in an action to clean a part of the beach of Gammarth.  "Girl Beach Clean UP " was organized by the environmental  association "Pour Une Tunisie Propre et Verte"( For a Clean and Green Tunisia) and the feminist organization , uniting girls to take actions in their communities Girls Up AC. 

I have really been impressed by the determination and patience of this group of environmental activists, who worked hard despite the hot weather and a blazing sun. Indeed, the majority of Tunisians  are complaining about the presence of trash everywhere ,  but  they never think about the real causes behind that. They never take the time to be critical as to their own behaviors and  actions. Yes, the majority of Tunisians are throwing their garbage everywhere. Rare are those who  take the time to protect our environment. This is why, I think that such small actions are very important to raise awareness. In fact, some of the people who were sunbathing or swimming at the Sunset Beach Gammarth establishment, which hosted us for this event joined us in the action and discussed the issue . Spreading awareness was an important part of our action. 

I sincerely thank Mrs Camy Mathlouthi , the President of Pour Une Tunisie Propre et Verte,  who has been  been working discreetly  on the promotion of  the environmental  cause,  for several  years now.
