In a telephone conversation with Mr. Khaled Tajouri , amember of the League for the Protection of the Revolution, Emergency Committee in Tataouine, he assured that the situation in the region is very serious. The arrival of 22,000 refugees has led to a lack of food and medicines. Indeed, agreat part of these refugees is composed of families! Locals are trying to help them with the means at hand. Some of these refugees are hosted by Tunisian families. Some of them have major health problems, others are seriously injured. Wounds that generally reach the bones.
The inhabitants of the region are calling on all Tunisians to try to provide food and medicines to these people in danger as they are expecting a shortage of food. They call on doctors to move on site to assist the wounded and sick. They also ask for help to transfer some of the ill and injured persons to hospitals other than those in the region because their equipment is not sufficient to treat these people.
